1997 BMW 840Ci – Manual Conversion

This 1997 BMW 840Ci underwent modifications to incorporate a six-speed manual transmission. The vehicle is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 engine and is presented in a Jet Black exterior with matching leather upholstery. It features 18″ Style 37 M Parallel wheels, Magnaflow rear resonators, a power-operated sunroof, fog lights, a CD stereo, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated power-adjustable front seats, and cruise control.

The car is equipped with 18″ Style 37 M Parallel wheels, with staggered widths, and these wheels are fitted with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires, displaying production codes from 2018 and 2019. The braking system features four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs with ABS.

The interior showcases black leather-trimmed, heated power-adjustable front seats, complemented by matching door panels and carpets. It is well-equipped with features such as an onboard computer, dual-zone automatic climate control, a CD stereo, driver position memory, and a power-adjustable steering column.

The 4.4-liter M62B44 V8, originally rated at 282 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, underwent servicing in April 2023. This maintenance session encompassed an oil change, OBD connector repair, cam cover refinishing, and the replacement of the oil pan gasket, oil level sensor, thermostat, cam cover gaskets, batteries, and spark plugs. Additionally, the air conditioning system was recharged in anticipation of the sale.

The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, retrofitted in 2019. In April 2023, one of the oxygen sensors was replaced, and an aftermarket catalytic converter was installed on the right side. Manufacturer’s literature and service records from current ownership are included in the sale.
